Activities
A typical day consists of:
Morning
- 9am: Children from the surrounding area are collected in Rickshaws and start arriving at the school from 9am-10am

- Physiotherapy: some children have daily one to one sessions with the Physiotherapist. Stretching and exercises to improve gross motor movement and mobility (put pic of Emberaj – was unable to walk but with regular physio sessions at the school is now able to!)
- Literacy - learning to write the alphabet
- English Lessons - learning common objects and nursery rhymes
- Maths
- Yoga - Before lunchtime the children participate in Yoga exercises which is good for their health and wellbeing
Lunchtime
- Lunchtime at the school 12:30- 1:30. Children receive nutritious meals of rice, vegetables, eggs, potatoes, unique Southern Indian cooking of flavours and spices.


Afternoon
- Play time!!! Children who are free to express themselves through play are happy
Physiotherapy

Occupational Therapy
- Occupational Therapy: one to one sessions working on fine motor movements in the hand such as pinch grip, grasp, strengthening exercises and coordination
- sensory integration- working with children with autism and Cerebral Palsy improve to get a sense of their environment,
- play activities
- productive activities- drawing a picture gives a sense of accomplishment
- postural awareness- Children with Cerebral palsy often lack the ability, coordination and strength to sit up themselves which makes participating in activities difficult. Supporting posture makes it possible for children with Cerebral Palsy to engage in activities such as painting and eating.
